Travel Noire Staff
Mitti Hicks is a contributing travel writer for Travel Noire and loves finding new deals. While she’s never in the same spot for too long, Mitti is a proud Midwesterner and brings the region’s culture of friendliness and oversharing to the forefront of her writing. Since she's always been known as the friend in her inner circle who “finds the best travel deals,” she has made it her mission to help readers find the best flight deals each month. When not searching for the latest flight deal, she's writing about adventure travel destinations, scoping out Black-owned businesses to visit worldwide, or finding the perfect wellness destinations to relax and reset. Mitti graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's in communication and received her master’s from Syracuse University, where she specialized in broadcast and digital journalism. She has worked for local and national television news outlets, covering politics, elections, wellness, and, most recently, the travel beat. You can send story ideas and kind notes to her DM on Instagram @mitti_megan
