The rideshare and food delivery giant Uber has unveiled its latest digital offering, joining a growing number of platforms that create personalized year-end summaries for users. YOUBER 2025, launching on Monday, December 15, provides both Uber riders and Uber Eats customers with a detailed retrospective of their travel patterns and dining preferences, and assigns users one of 14 distinct personality types based on their combined usage data throughout the year. The feature arrives as part of the cultural “wrap” phenomenon popularized by services like Spotify, but with a uniquely transportation- and food-focused twist that spans from late-night food deliveries to cross-country journeys.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the rollout followed closely on the heels of a Saturday Night Live sketch that humorously imagined an “Uber Eats Wrapped,” though the company has not confirmed whether the launch timing was connected to the sketch or how long the feature had been in development. Available through a prominently displayed banner on both the Uber and Uber Eats app home screens, YOUBER 2025 transforms everyday transportation and dining data into shareable, visually engaging cards designed for social media sharing.
Your Uber Identity
YOUBER 2025 goes beyond simply showing users their top destinations or most-ordered dishes. The feature categorizes each user into one of 14 bespoke personality profiles based on their specific Uber and Uber Eats usage patterns. These categories include “Planning Prodigy” for those who meticulously schedule their rides in advance, “Do-Gooder” for fans of electric vehicles, “Rise & Shiners” for those who are active during the early morning hours, and “Delivery Darling” for those who rely heavily on food delivery services.
Uber Eats users might be categorized as “Foodie Fanatic” if they’ve ordered from a wide variety of restaurants, or as “Creature of Habit” if they consistently order the same meals. The personality matrix creates a gamified element to what would otherwise be straightforward data, encouraging social sharing and comparisons among users’ networks. Uber described the new feature as “a love letter to our users,” explaining it was built after “years of hearing you ask for this.”
Personalized Data Visualization Creates Shareable Social Content
The YOUBER 2025 feature transforms user data into visually engaging, easily shareable content. Users can access information about their total number of rides and destinations, preferred vehicle upgrades, total restaurants ordered from, and favorite food categories. The interface presents this information through eye-catching cards designed specifically for social media sharing. This approach mirrors similar year-in-review features from other digital platforms while focusing specifically on transportation and food delivery habits.
